Cutting-edge fused end fiber bundle technology for multi kW range applications

Kalvis Alps(LIGHTGUIDE R&D engineer) will discuss our continued studies of clad fused bundle (CFB) technology which is tested for >6kW continuous laser power operation. Included will be novel end treatments and end cap solutions, that increase both light transmission and laser-induced damage threshold. These improvements allow for an unparalleled mix of properties – large active areas, high flexibility, non-uniform and non-circular inputs while efficiently transmitting high-power laser radiation.
